T.S. Tony Leung

Principal

Mr. Leung has been providing business valuation and related financial advisory services to privately owned companies since 1978. He co-founded Management Advisory Services in 1980, a provider of valuation services and financial management training in the U.S. and abroad. In 1992, he founded Corporate Advisory Associates to focus solely on valuation services for private businesses. Mr. Leung was instrumental in the early growth of the business valuation profession, serving in various capacities at both the national and local levels with the American Society of Appraiser, the first professional association for business appraisers.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Leung has appraised companies in nearly every industry sector. He has rendered thousands of valuation opinions in connection with corporate strategic planning, business succession, transaction advisory, tax compliance, and for a variety of other purposes. In addition, he has testified as an expert witness in the federal and state courts of Washington, Oregon, California, and Alaska.

A native of Hong Kong, Mr. Leung came to the United States in 1972 to attend the University of Washington, where he eventually earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature and an MBA in Finance. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1979, a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder in 1982, and an Accredited Senior Appraiser in 1983.

Daniel L. Guderjohn

Principal

Mr. Guderjohn began his career with Corporate Advisory Associates as an intern during his senior year of college. He became a financial analyst upon graduation in 2001. Following graduate school and a short stint with a regional financial institution, Mr. Guderjohn returned to Corporate Advisory Associates in 2005. As a principal in the firm, he takes the lead on valuation engagements and is responsible for all facets of the appraisal analysis. He also heads the firm’s technical review committee, which advises the firm on various aspects of valuation methodology.

Mr. Guderjohn’s appraisal practice focuses on estate planning, shareholder and corporate transactions, and tax and financial reporting. He has appraised companies in numerous industries across the value chain. In addition to private company stock and equity interests, Mr. Guderjohn’s appraisal experience includes debt instruments, derivatives, and intangible assets.

Mr. Guderjohn pursued undergraduate studies in Economic and Mathematics at the University of Washington. He also attended Georgia Tech, where he earned a graduate degree in quantitative finance. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst charter in 2005, and he became an Accredited Senior Appraiser and Certified Public Accountant in 2011.

Robert S. Reis

Senior Manager

Mr. Reis has over nine years of business valuation experience with Corporate Advisory Associates. Working with the firm’s principals, he has performed valuations for many purposes, including gifting and estate related projects, internal transfers of ownership, option grants, and tax and financial reporting. Mr. Reis has experience valuing equity interests in businesses in a wide variety of industries, as well as debt securities and promissory notes.

Mr. Reis completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Washington in 2008. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter in 2012 and became an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in 2018.
